Addressing Climate Change through Innovation and Entrepreneurship

The Africa Grows Green Climate Finance Forum is a dynamic, one-day high-level medium under the auspices of the Ministry of Environment in Egypt that brings together policymakers, private sector leaders and financial institutions to address the capital needs of businesses striving for green growth and environmental sustainability in Egypt and Africa. It focuses on unlocking innovative financing mechanisms to support scalable and impactful projects for private sector businesses across a diversity of sectors including energy efficiency, food and agriculture, manufacturing and construction. By aligning financial resources with the private sector’s pivotal role in driving sustainability, the forum highlights actionable strategies, enabling policies, and transformative partnerships that empower businesses to lead the transition to a low-carbon, resilient economy while ensuring sustainable growth for all.

Of special interest to us is energizing the engagement of entrepreneurs in climate change action in the developing world, a field suffering from inadequate enabling environments.

Hence the idea of the Africa Grows Green Awards was launched to drive progress and connect national, regional and international players with regards to attracting and receiving support for innovating climate technologies.
